Party of Two

This next post dates backs to the Face Detectives' days as a couple of sassy Montreal students (okay, maybe we weren't so sassy). Face #1 is quite obviously Matthew Fox, at the time Charlie Salinger from PO5 reruns, and now the fantastic Dr. Jack from Lost...

And Man #2 is, of course, Matthew Fox wearing a ridiculous wig he borrowed from a brunette Little Orphan Annie, right? Wrong! Man 2 is in fact Ethan Zohn, aka the winner of Survivor, Season 3. At this point Zohn has faded into the abyss of obscure pop cultural relics past, but given the insane success of Lost, we highly suggest a side career standing in for Jack at nerdy sci-fi conventions.

The Face Detectives were enjoying a delicious, mimosa soaked Easter brunch when one of our friends pointed out what we in the FDing profession call "a lie of face omission". Let me explain:  Kate Hudson and Bebe Neuwirth both appeared in How To Lose A Guy In Ten Days. Bebe played Kate's editor and even appeared side by side in several scenes...AND YET (???) no one bothered to mention that the two actresses as very clearly TWINS. "It was like no one wanted to acknowledge it," our face savvy friend lamented. We couldn't agree more. Can you imagine Mary Kate and Ashley playing writer and editor with nary a mention of the fact that they were identical? We think not! Perhaps Bebe and K-Hud should be considered to share the role of adult Michelle Tanner in the Full House reunion special. Candace Cameron should be played an adult chipmunk, but that's another detectiving tale altogether.
