spider infested trees

how amazing is this??  the unprecedented flooding in pakistan caused millions of spiders to climb into trees to escape the rising floodwaters. the waters took so long to recede that the trees became covered in a cocoon of spiderwebs!  it's actually a blessing in disguise since there are far fewer malaria-spreading mosquitos in the areas where the spiders are.  so totally cool!!

cottage by gray organschi architecture. guilford, connecticut. this small guest house stands in an upland meadow dotted with large oaks & granite outcroppings, a new addition to an enclave of house, garage & barn overlooking long island sound & the thimble islands.

louis vuitton has collaborated with english artist, pippa cunningham, on three tropical prints for their summer 2011 ailleurs beach collection. the 3 prints: escale, promenade & adventure are featured on totes, scarfs, beach towels, clothing & key-chains. the collection will be available at louis vuitton stores april 15th.
